Yesterday, I was e-mailing back and forth with Todd Larson at MISF regarding a few things involving the weekend playoff schedule and other issues. Todd said that he talked with a majority of the Wednesday night players and that 95% of them were ok with the weekend playoffs. Nearly everyone I have talked to didn't like it since we signed up to play hockey on Wednesday nights and usually have busy weekends. I guess I must not talk to the majority of people though.

However, in the later e-mails, he said that he was doing the best he could. I brought to his attention that he always says that someone is "working on" the stats website and "should be updated soon". He has been saying that since Kristina was let go. He proceeded to say that Dawn was working on it and she will get it up soon. Well, I have talked to Dawn and she doesn't even have the login information to get into the site to manage it. He was throwing her under the bus when she can't even do anything.

I also brought up the fact that several of the showers didn't work correctly or at all in the locker rooms. Players from my team let him know about it and he always said that they would be fixed "by next week". It took over a month for anything to be done and some of them are still iffy.

I sent that to him yesterday afternoon and I got a reply from him in the evening. All it said was "No comment".

He just lost a lot of respect from me by giving that response. Just like previous management, whenever he is confronted about things, he plays dead. Instead of owning up to his mistakes and making it better, he refuses to even acknowledge them. This is a big reason I will be playing at the Bucs arena this summer.

I feel your pain.
I'm not one to gripe as I know that we are limited to the places we can play. AT the same time, I must miss all the playoff games because of previously sceduled activites....coaching a kids team Sat, baseball games sunday, etc.

I too have talked with many players and most were not available to play.

The schedule email also stated that the winners could "Hoist the Golden Keg Trophy"....Its the Boulevard Cup as Wierson created back in the day (since its on a Boulevard Keg). Call me a traditionalist, but it hurts when things are not the same as before...

Ps. Where's the D League Trainers Trophy?

I know our team, Legends, will have a hard time fielding a team at all for the weekend tournament, and I know Todd did not speak to any one of us about the weekend schedule. I've heard that Alien Vegas, the 1 seed, is going to have to forfeit altogether. Don't quote me on that, heard through the grape vine. If the weekend tournament is all he can get us, which I don't understand, it has always worked out in the past with makeup games, etc..., then we should get our money back for those games, as we signed up for a Wednesday league for a reason.
Anyway, I typically never post on here, but frequent to get the pulse on the league, and just felt I needed to comment on this situation. Our team is not happy about this, but he's sort of got us by the short hairs, I guess. We did already register a team for this summer, as the shortened Bucs season wasn't going to be enough for us, but as for talk of a Winter League at Bucs, we are all for it. At least give them a shot to do us a little better.
Peace. See you tomorrow.

Last I saw of it was a photo of it on TJ Gardner's kitchen table.

It's a short time livin' and a long time in the ground.
