Don't forget, there are 2 opportunities to play at Well Fargo coming up.

1) The CAHL (Chops Alien Hockey League) - This league is designed for the C & D Level Player looking for a fun recreational league to play in. Our goal is to intermix both C & D Level players and still keep score, have refs, etc., but focus on the fun aspect of getting to know players and have a good time.

To play in this 8 game season (probably 6 games on Thursdays & 2 on Saturdays), you just need to purchase a minimum ticket package of $252 to the Iowa Chops. Then your ice time is FREE!

2) The 3 on 3 Center Cut Classic Tourney - Anyone who has taken part in one of our past 3 on 3 events will know these are a blast. The part that's even better is that its on Wells Fargo Ice! Only 48 players & 8 goalies are being taken. $50 gets you 4 games guaranteed and 4 tickets to Iowa Chops Home Opener.

Contact Joe @ Alien Hockey 515-334-5220 for more details or to register.

Hey, Joe, what would the subbing situation be with the Chops League? I and several others are thinking it's a great deal, but with also playing Sunday or Wednesday, work, travel, family, etc., may have to miss some games. I wouldn't want to hurt a team by not showing up (yes, I know I'm setting myself up for all kinds of ridicule with that statement) or to have to skate a full 60 minutes either if a lot of team mates had to miss a particular game.

It's a short time livin' and a long time in the ground.

Sucks that tonight's games were already cancelled. Looks like Joe will have to tweak the schedule again

I talked with Derik Hickey from Wells and he said that our makeup game will be in March because there is a lot of stuff going on between now and then.

Dave: Because the days of the week switch around in the league, it is expected that people will miss games here and there. People are usually willing to play two games though so it hasn't been a big deal so far.

Has anyone heard anything about another Chops session or anything like that? I'm finally getting caught up with work and may be able to make it work.

So we got that email from Ryan today about games on 2/9 & 2/12. Did anyone know that we had games on those dates? I didn't. I thought we would only have more games if we sold tickets (except for the make up on 3/19).
Now I am left with the tough choice of playing Monday night or fulfilling my coaching responsibilities with the Valley lax team...
