Anyone else going to the meeting Saturday? If you haven't heard, @ 3:30 on Saturday the 14th MISF is hosting an adult hockey party/meeting where they say they want our feedback, will let us know schedules for the summer, etc.

I'm not positive exactly what I'm doing, but don't think I'll still be playing Wednesdays at MISF this summer. What are you doing for summer?

It's a short time livin' and a long time in the ground.

I won't be attending the meeting, but I am curious to know what the new manager says about the fall league and facility maintenance.
As far as this summer, I definitely will not be playing hockey; the humidity makes the ice slushy and it sucks to be inside when it's nice outside. To stay in shape, I'll be playing lacrosse - for free! Contact me for more information on how you can play lacrosse for free this summer.

I will be there... I'm interested to hear what there is to be said, and free ice time. The ice is getting noticeably better so maybe the slushy ice won't be such a problem. I want to start playing in B league soon, not sure if that's at MISF or not for the summer.

I missed a lot of it too. What I did get was that the new manager Todd Larson is wanting to make things better. He gets that we are customers. I'm hoping that he will get and maintain the resources to do what he wants to do. He wants to do Sunday and Wednesday for C and also have a D league. He put a lot of emphasis on making sure C is C, D is D, etc. I got the impression that there are some current C leaguers who will be booted to B against their will.

I missed the whole discussion of the definition of "fight" is, but he said there's no place for fighting and anyone fighting will be kicked out with no refund and no second chances. Apparently he's starting that now, before the summer session.

He didn't set them in stone, but says he wants to play Sundays and Wednesdays since people are used to that, but didn't make any promises. Said would add another night if needed. Seems like a logistic nightmare to me.

Also said games won't be so late.

He also talked about having additional training for refs. I don't remember what else and had to leave early, so please feel free to add.

It's a short time livin' and a long time in the ground.

Todd sounds like he might actually give a damn about having happy customers in the rink. That is good to hear. I'm definitely not coming out this summer due to lacrosse obligations (Valley is 2-0 by the way), but I plan to play hockey again in the fall. If things sound good this summer, I will definitely be ready to play a full league at MISF again...
